Sandboarding Lancelin Dunes

Overview Located approximately 90 minutes north of Perth, the Lancelin Sand Dunes are a large area of white sand dunes where visitors can participate in sandboarding. The dunes, some reaching up to three storeys high, offer slopes of varying steepness suitable for different confidence levels. Access to the dunes themselves is free, and they are open to the public year-round.

The primary activity is sandboarding, and equipment can be hired from vendors at the entrance to the dunes, such as Perth Quad. Hire typically includes a sandboard and wax, which is applied to the base of the board to help it slide down the sand. Both sit-down and stand-up style boards are available. Beyond sandboarding, some operators also offer quad bike and buggy tours for an additional cost.
