Castledare Miniature Railway

Overview Castledare Miniature Railway is a volunteer-run organisation that operates 7.25-inch gauge miniature trains in Wilson. Located at Wilson Park Station on the banks of the Canning River, the railway provides rides through the surrounding Canning River Regional Park. The journey takes passengers on a track that passes through bushland, crosses small bridges, and runs alongside wetlands.

The railway is operated as a not-for-profit, with public run days held on the first and third Sunday of each month, and select Wednesdays during school holidays. Both diesel and steam locomotives are used, though the operation of steam engines is subject to volunteer availability and fire restrictions, particularly during summer months. All proceeds from ticket sales contribute to the maintenance and development of the railway.
