About

Since the renovation, Morack Golf is no longer just a dusty public course; it is a polished entertainment venue. It is an excellent option for a "mixed age" outing—particularly if you have hard-to-please teenagers. It feels modern and clean, but because it’s popular, it can get busy.

The Best Parts for Kids & Teens The Driving Range (Toptracer Range): This is the highlight for teenagers and older kids. Every bay has a screen that tracks where your ball goes (like a video game). They can play games like "Go Fish," "Closest to the Pin," or "Longest Drive." It makes hitting balls interesting even for kids who hate golf. The balls are automatically teed up by a machine (no bending down). Younger kids find the mechanism fascinating; teenagers find it convenient.

The bays are undercover and have lounge-style seating, so it’s a good hangout spot even if they aren't hitting every ball.

Mini Golf: It is a landscaped, "architectural" course rather than a "crazy" course. Think running streams, rock formations, and neat grass rather than windmills and clown heads. It is well-maintained and smooth. It’s 18 holes and generally accessible for younger kids, though the lack of "gimmicks", bright colours and plastic obstacles might mean toddlers might get bored faster than at a theme-park style course.

There is a new venue called Range View on-site. It’s a proper bistro/cafe, not a canteen. The food is good (burgers, schnitzels, etc.), but it gets very busy on weekends. You can also order snacks and drinks directly to your driving range bay.

Club Hire: You don't need your own gear. You can hire kids' clubs for the driving range and putters are included with mini golf. Parking: There is a large car park, but because the venue is now a "destination," it fills up fast on Saturday/Sunday mornings.

Booking: You generally don't need to book for mini golf, but if you want a specific bay at the driving range (especially adjacent ones for a big family) or a table for lunch, booking is recommended.

For Teenagers: Highly recommended. The Toptracer technology at the driving range bridges the gap between sport and video games, and the venue is "cool" enough for them to be seen at. For Younger Kids (5-10): Good for a round of mini golf, provided the weather is mild. For Toddlers: Probably not the best fit; the driving range is dangerous for wanderers, and the mini golf is a bit plain for them.
